Personal Urban Mentoring Programs (P.U.M.P) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to uplift and raise the level of awareness and consciousness of the urban youth by providing several diverse programs aimed at the under privileged and disadvantaged youth of today’s urban society.

P.U.M.P will raise the level of awareness and consciousness through various programs such as mentoring, recreation, performing arts, after school labs and career orientated seminars. Each program is structured so that participants will receive well rounded, informative and applicable life skills that they may utilize inside their own communities as well as outside their communities. P.U.M.P programs also look to raise and provide self-esteem levels that will help foster the self confidence that disadvantage youth have because of their lack knowledge, companionship and self worth.

All P.U.M.P officials, employees or contracted service providers will be certified in the fields or programs that they participate and/or are employed in by P.U.M.P.

To keep track of participant progress and program progress P.U.M.P will bring in an independent source that will be able to monitor the overall efforts and effectiveness of the program to ensure that the participants are getting the care that they need and to ensure P.U.M.P is providing the proper programs that they need to receive the proper care.

Every year P.U.M.P will be looking back to see what the programs have done, which ones where effective and what else can we do, to do more for our communities, and to service more adolescents and teens at a pace and level that we all are comfortable with.
